	For this photo exploration of Florida’s Wildlife Refuges, I traveled north, up the Gulf Coast of Florida, across the northern part of the state, and worked my way down the Atlantic Coast, photographing wildlife refuges and parks. Some of the places I explored were very remote. A few were popular wildlife parks crowded with tourists. This issue describes the best locations and the best seasons for bird photography and where to find the classic Florida landscapes and dark swamps filled with cypress groves and alligators.
