"Na Pali" which means "the cliffs" in Hawaiian, is an understated description of the isolated coastline and the mysterious valleys of the western coast of the island of Kauai. Created millions of years ago by volcanoes and shaped by the forces of erosion, the rugged crags and deep valleys are the most isolated and the least-disturbed wilderness in the Hawaiian Islands. This western edge of Kauai is comparable in grandeur to the most spectacular wilderness areas on earth. Kauai is a wonderful place for nature photography.
